StackTrax Fitness: Our Journey to Amazon Prime’s “Buy It Now”

Our Journey to Amazon Prime’s “Buy It Now”

[This three part post will be added and updated over the next three days, leading up to the Prime Video's streaming release date of our show, Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Yes, this Wednesday]

We’re thrilled to share an incredible milestone in our StackTrax journey—our feature on Amazon Prime’s “Buy It Now”, hosted by the hilarious and charismatic JB Smoove! This opportunity allowed us to present StackTrax Fitness, our innovative home workout solution, to a live audience and a panel of esteemed judges.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how this unforgettable experience unfolded.

The Call That Almost Didn’t Happen, But That Changed Everything

It all started with a call that almost didn’t happen. Lindsey initially let the unknown number go to voicemail, skeptical of the casting agent’s pitch about appearing on a new Amazon Prime game show. But curiosity won out, and after calling back, the idea began to take root.

When Lindsey shared the news with me, we couldn’t help but ask, “What if this actually works?” That excitement quickly turned into action. The catch? We had just 72 hours to create a compelling pitch video showcasing StackTrax—our mission, product, and story.

3 Days To Seal The Deal: The 72-Hour Hustle

With little time to spare, we turned our daughter’s nursery into a makeshift studio, complete with pink walls and baby toys. For the next three days, we poured every ounce of energy into scripting, rehearsing, and recording. Sleep became a luxury as we refined every detail to capture what makes StackTrax special: its versatility, space-saving design, and ability to redefine home fitness.

We submitted our pitch video with only hours to spare, fueled by adrenaline and the hope that this would be our big break. (Looking back at the video, it was pretty “cringy”)

The Preparation & Extensive Background Checks

This part of the process was daunting. We had to fill out at least 50 pages of business and personal history. Luckily, we had most of it done from when we applied for Shark Tank. (Yes, we made it to the final round of Shark Tank and got cut right before filming..) After all of the paperwork was filled out (this all took place around November 2022), a few interviews with multiple layers of producers, our first challenge started…the “waiting game”

The Waiting Game

A few weeks passed, and as life returned to its usual pace, doubt began to creep in. Then months passed (it was February now), and we concluded that national TV was just not part of the plan. Then, the call came—the producers asked if we could fly out to California in 2 weeks. 2 weeks?!?! The excitement and nerves were unreal. Over the next two weeks we worked with producers to perfect our 90 second pitch that we would be presenting live on national television.

Tune in to part two tomorrow to hear about our experience taking the stage!
